Your future contribution
You will lead our current Marketing Team of 10 FTE, develop and grow it in order to achieve our future growth ambitions. As a leader, you will be responsible for fostering a high-performance culture, mentoring team members, and driving accountability to ensure strategic alignment across all marketing functions. 
You will be successful in your role if (1) you drive scalable user acquisition year over year, (2) build a globally recognized brand and increase organic lead share by 10pp, (3) drive retention initiatives to lower yearly churn rates and (4) lead cross-functional projects across different teams (such as commercial product or feature launches).

How you’ll add value
Strategy Development and Execution:
  • Develop a strategic plan together with the Managing Director for the marketing department in line with the company's vision and strategy, planning for 2-5 years into the future and adapting as needed based on market and company developments.
  • Lead and oversee all marketing functions, including SEA, SEO, Content, Brand, Product Marketing, and PR, to ensure the overall strategic success of the business.
  • Drive scalable user acquisition across multiple channels (paid as well as organic) such as Google, Bing, Meta, while enhancing the company’s global brand presence.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve upsell initiatives and reduce churn (e.g. but not exclusively via Email & Retention Marketing)
Leadership & Team Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of marketing professionals. Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance environment that encourages innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement. Act as a role model for leadership excellence, ensuring the team is motivated and equipped to meet evolving business goals.
Data Analysis, Reporting & Budgeting:
  • Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies in achieving their defined objectives.
  • Plan and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across channels. Closely monitor ROI.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Act as a cross-functional leader, aligning marketing strategies with product, sales, and other key teams to drive organizational vision and operations.
Content and Campaign Management:
  • Oversee the creation of marketing content tailored to different stages of the customer journey.
  • Manage and optimize lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.
You’ll be successful in this role if you
  • 8+ years of experience in Marketing, ideally with a diverse background that includes both startup/scale-up environments and larger, more established organizations.
  • Solid understanding of SaaS business models and proven expertise in SaaS marketing, with a strong focus on driving user acquisition, retention, brand growth and product marketing.
  • Proven track record owning the entire marketing function to drive company goal attainment.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and scaling global brands and executing CRM strategies.
  • Ability to think strategically and plan long-term, while making data-driven decisions and adjusting course as needed.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and grow a diverse team.
  • Experience collaborating with executives and influencing decisions at the highest level.

Your performance will be measured against some Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as:
  • Number and quality of leads generated.
  • Conversion rate of leads.
  • Cost per lead and overall ROI of lead generation activities (organic as well as paid).
  • Engagement metrics for lead generation or retention campaigns and efforts
