Your future contribution

Currently, we are seeking a Software Engineer (PHP) for the Checkout team. You will play an essential role in our platform's success by joining the team responsible for enhancing the checkout process and post booking experience. Your expertise in PHP development will be instrumental in delivering seamless user experiences and optimizing the booking flow for our users.

How you’ll add value

Write clean, efficient and maintainable code, adhering to coding standards and best practices to ensure the platform's stability and scalability
Identify and address technical challenges and bottlenecks related to the technology stack to continuously improve the platform's functionality and user experience
Choose adequate technical and business metrics to monitor features and manage the risk
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to plan, design, and implement new features and improvements to the rental details page and checkout process using PHP and Symfony framework

You’ll be successful in this role if you

Have 2+ years of experience in building backend applications in PHP, ideally with Symfony
Know how to design clean, scalable, and testable systems using SOLID principles and design patterns
Have experience with asynchronous task management with Amazon SQS
Have experience with SQL and relational database (MySQL/MariaDB)
Have experience in building and operating high-scale distributed systems
Are familiar with containerized development using Docker (Kubernetes knowledge is a plus)
Have Test-Driven Development mindset and care deeply about code quality and reliability
Are fluent in Lithuanian and English and enjoying working in cross-functional, international teams
